The agreement between us

Effective August 21, 2026 · Instant Engineer, Inc. · Fletcher, North Carolina

What Instant Engineer is

Instant Engineer, Inc. is a software platform that organizes evidence, coordinates engineering work, and keeps you informed. We are not an engineering firm, and we do not stamp or seal letters. The independent licensed engineering firm assigned to your case does that work, on their letterhead and under their seal, and their professional liability coverage stands behind it.

Your $10/month subscription

Platform Access is a $10/month Instant Engineer account, sold only to realtors and builders, required to submit and track cases. It carries a 12-month minimum: $120 if billed monthly, or $100 if paid a year up front (two months free). Canceling after one case does not end the year — the 12-month commitment continues. It’s billed by Instant Engineer, Inc. through Stripe and Hostinger, and is separate from your case’s intake fee and any engineering fee, which are billed separately. Homeowners do not see or buy this subscription; they pay the assigned engineering firm directly for PE Screening and Full Engineering Letters.

Pricing and estimates

The pricing ranges shown on our Pricing page are estimates, not quotes. Engineering work is priced and billed by the licensed engineering firm on your case. You approve a scoped quote before any full evaluation work begins.

Where we work

We serve North Carolina and Georgia. Remote engineering review is available across both states; site visits are available where we have technician coverage. Check your county on our Where We Work page.

No guarantee of a remote opinion

We don’t promise in advance that a remote review will be possible for your situation. After seeing your evidence, the licensed Professional Engineer decides whether a remote opinion is appropriate — and may decline to issue one. If that happens, we’ll tell you what’s needed, which may include a live video walkthrough or a site visit.

Your responsibility for uploads

You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you upload — inspection reports, photos, video, and the property address. The engineer’s opinion depends on the evidence you provide, and missing or inaccurate information can affect the result.

Warranty disclaimer

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” Except where required by law, Instant Engineer, Inc. makes no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result will be achieved. Engineering conclusions are the professional responsibility of the licensed engineering firm on your case.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Instant Engineer, Inc.’s liability for any claim arising out of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for the engineering conclusions, acts, or omissions of the independent engineering firm on your case.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
